We are thrilled to update you on our most recent development in the Panoblu journey. As you know, Panoblu is more than just a camera, it’s a visual history of your yacht’s life at sea, bringing you the opportunity to appreciate spectacular coastal and sea imagery from the comfort of your own vessel and at home. Each location is captured in super high resolution 128 megapixel 360º panoramic images, which can be edited using most available 360º editing software, ensuring your ability to craft, personalise and sculpt your sailing memories into stunning and shareable animations, flyovers and timelapses.
Our newest feature, the SeaView map, facilitates an even more in-depth exploration of your sea and coastal journey, best demonstrated by a recent trip around southern Italy. We set off from Malta, sailing along the eastern coast of Sicily, docking at the stunning island of Lipari.
With SeaView, we can clearly ‘pinpoint’ a voyage on geographical maps as well as discover more detail of the regions. Panoblu’s software utilises user friendly icons to track the quantity of images taken at each location, indicated in Image 1, by the numbered blue markers. These panoramic images are downloaded directly to your onboard server, charting your ship’s journey across the coastline and creating unforgettable memories.
Not only does Panoblu enable you to click back onto any point in your voyage, but our camera also captures each marked location in full 360o imagery. With our interface you can move around in the panorama and discover each detail of the coastline and surrounding areas giving you a ‘street view’ of the sea – SeaView.
One of my favourite features is the option for a ‘LittlePlanet‘ view, demonstrated by the image taken from the yacht anchored in one of the many lagoons of Malta. A fantastic keepsake of our holiday.
